Table of Contents
I’ve been doing the hard work of reading books — some good, some clearly written by AI and shilled on Amazon — so you don’t have to. I’ll keep it short and give a few notes on each on why it made my list. If you like them, feel free to check them out at a local library, or pick them up on the linked Amazon page!
Talk Like TED — Carmine Gallo
“Talk Like TED” by Carmine Gallo is a must-read for anyone looking to improve their public speaking skills. The book breaks down a number of successful TED talks, such as Sheryl Sandberg and Bryan Stevenson who gave some of the most popular talks in TED history. You can check the talks out and decide from there if you want to pick up the book! I really enjoyed being able to flip between the book and the talks as I was reading it.
Feel-Good Productivity: How to Do More of What Matters to You — Ali Abdaal
I’ve been watching Ali Abdaal since about 2022 and have thoroughly enjoyed his YouTube videos. When I heard he was launching a book I knew immediately I was going to pick it up when it came out.
The Culture Code — Daniel Coyle
A number of years back, I was given the opportunity to start building and scaling teams at my job. The foundation of a good team is good culture, and I will die on that hill. Daniel gives some really interesting perspectives from a number of different companies and organizations. They are short enough that you can cruise through them pretty fast and there are plenty of different great examples that even if you have years of experience running teams, you will take something away from each of these.
